I just registered my WIFES car.NH-MV $74.20 Barrington Town
Clerk $373.50.I heard,on the news,this morning,that the Congresman,voted themselves a raise.I always had to work for mine!Even when,I ran,my own shop,I didn't pay myself!I only took
money, when I had to buy something.Maybe,we all should have
been politicians. Then we could just vote ourselve more money!

Really, they shouldn't be able to do that, we should have to vote on if they get a raise and how much.

Irish,

It’s even worse! The way they wrote the legislation, the get the cost of living adjustment (COLA) unless they vote to exclude themselves.

Is it just me, or does anyone else see a conflict of interest here?

nope - definite conflict - the problem in politics is that there is no accountibility...

no money for education , health care, infrastructure but these assholes can waste our hard earned money?

the Canadian gov't spent $800, 000 to send a private plane with politicians on it to the gold medal olympic hockey game in Salt Lake - I'm all for supporting your country but that was ridiculous

I'm tired of giving half my hard earned cash to the gov't and watching them fuck with it

this tirade could go on for hours but I will stop here

It's called a license to print money.

And yes, it's a license.

On the way home from the Town Hall, yesterday,I realised that
I hadn't eaten anything.The DD was on my way home,so I
stopped & got a large dunkachino & 2 plain "sticks" to go.
When I paid the cashier,I realised that I was almost "broke"
I kiddingly said to her:"Gee , "I'm almost out of money! I'll have
to print some more when I get home."Maybe,I should have been
serious. Irish
