Dirty pictures

Or are they?

Pretty amazing perspective shift. :D

I loved that!

Just goes to show you how easy it really is for a professional to incorporate questionable materials in to innocent images.

That's great stuff!!! :thumb:

WildIrish,

How right you are!

A few years ago, a graphic artist was commissioned by Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, to create a stylized saudia as the airline’s logo. Once accepted, it was painted on the fuselage of the aircraft, on the signs, and it was even incorporated into the letterhead of the airline’s stationary.

We don’t have an appropriate font here, but the logo's characters were thick and squared, not rounded. The artist had designed the saudia so that the background between the first two letters formed a Christian cross. No one picked up on this foreground/background relationship for six years! The Sauds were livid when the image was brought to their attention. You can imagine how much it cost to expunge Saudia’s heresy.

And shown in reverse, it shows how easy it is for a causenick to pick an innocent image apart until only questionable material exists.

That was fun!

osuche 10-04-2007 02:14 AM

Hey! The first picture looked like PF....

Oldfart 10-04-2007 04:06 AM

Think dirty!

dicksbro 10-04-2007 04:27 AM

That was neat and I'd never heard that about the Saudi airlines logo. Fascinating as well.

LixyChick 10-04-2007 08:11 AM

Keep your eye on the prize!

gekkogecko 10-04-2007 08:40 AM

Those wern't 'dirty' images!
The artist was just left-handed, is all.

A very creative video...

One can see all kinds of hidden images in the Camel cigarette pack artwork. Also a good example, take a look at the front cover of Santana's first album...what appears at first glance to be a lion's face has several images buried within, including a topless African woman in a grass skirt...

Oh, and gekko...I think the vid was reversed for some reason, the super-hero had the "S" reversed as well...I thought he had just drawn it backwards until you pointed out the left-handed part...

I didn't even notice that! But now that you drew attention to it, I notice the lady on her hands & knees (with the very nice knockers, btw) is facing the wrong way. :D

dicksbro,

Saudia has been thorough, but not complete. Here is an example of the wicked logo.

Art is in the eye of the beholder!

Did you see the resemblance when he began or finished drawing? :brows:
