Pumpkin martinis

dicksbro 10-27-2014 02:23 AM

Burial's done ... my sons did it yesterday. We didn't get home until later than we thought we would. Anyway, today I've got a ...

FASTING BLOOD TEST

for my family doctor. He does checks to assure my diabetes is under control. No big deal ... except I'm always hungriest when I can't eat. :(

gigi 10-28-2014 06:16 PM

....a cold. Blerg.

dicksbro 10-29-2014 02:10 AM

I think I caught it. My nose is running, I'm sneezing and my throat's a tad sore. :(

Oldfart 10-30-2014 06:09 AM

Welcome to our world DB.

dicksbro 10-31-2014 03:57 AM

Thanks OF ... I think I've figured out that colds come from the folks that make Kleenex or similar products. :(

Sly devils.

Aqua 11-04-2014 12:32 AM

Homework that is kicking my ass. :(

dicksbro 11-04-2014 04:40 AM

^^^^ That must be some class? :yikes:

I've got our furnace replacement scheduled for Friday. :(

Lord Snow 11-04-2014 07:39 AM

Aqua, I can think a Pixie who could tutor you.

Lilith 11-06-2014 08:46 PM

A hot date tomorrow

Oldfart 11-06-2014 08:53 PM

Sauna sex?

gekkogecko 11-06-2014 08:55 PM

...a lack of a sex life.

dicksbro 11-07-2014 01:54 AM

Five or five and a half hours until the furnace folks come. Kind of cool in the house right not. Bearable, but not where I'd like it to be.

Lilith 11-18-2014 08:17 PM

An adoption to attend tomorrow

dicksbro 11-18-2014 11:27 PM

Who's adopting you, Lilith? Lucky guy. :D

A glass of ice tea that really tastes good. :)

Are you adopting a little fuzzy critter?

gekkogecko 11-19-2014 09:56 AM

...a cold. And I'm not happy about it, either.

Lilith 11-19-2014 11:01 AM

6 GAL kiddos with a forever family

gekkogecko 11-20-2014 06:44 PM

Too many death issues to deal with in the next two days.

dicksbro 11-21-2014 01:17 AM

A lot to get done this weekend if it doesn't rain.

So long as it's not your own.

Lord Snow 11-25-2014 11:25 AM

I recently got a 46 gallon bow window fish tank, and today I put in 11 cheap goldfish to help cycle the tank. The goal is to have an oscar cichlid and a pictus catfish in it. I'm debating live plants, but I'm leaning more towards getting them than not.

BIBI 11-25-2014 04:18 PM

I have 5 Christmas presents bought.....way behind last year.

AZRedHot 11-25-2014 04:56 PM

A robot doing my vacuuming for me. The new Roomba is on its maiden voyage. We'll see how it does.

Oldfart 11-28-2014 06:05 AM

With a boxer in a shark suit sitting on it?

AZRedHot 11-29-2014 11:01 PM

Maybe I could get one of the Shih Tzus to try it, but Daisy would rather bark at it and knock it over with her nose.

dicksbro 11-29-2014 11:33 PM

So, how did it do?

AZRedHot 11-30-2014 12:36 AM

It's pretty random, so if you like the straight lines of obvious recent vacuuming, this won't give you that. But overall, it did pretty well. It got stuck under the couch, so I think it does better with some human supervision. I picked it up and had it go over a couple areas a second time in spot-clean mode, and that works really well. It's not perfect, but my vacuuming job probably isn't, either. BUT it does do what i wanted it to do: it saves my back and allows me to work on other chores at the same time vacuuming is happening. And with 3 dogs doing their level best to bring the outdoors inside every day, it helps me stay on top of the schmutz, because I've neither the time or physical fortitude to vacuum multiple times a week.

Lord Snow 11-30-2014 07:17 AM

Most of what I've heard about the robotic vacuums and mops is they do a decent job, but don't replace the old way.

BIBI 11-30-2014 01:29 PM

I've got.....to go Christmas shopping someday lol.

Yep.

Me too.

dicksbro 12-01-2014 12:45 AM

We've probably got 1/2 or a bit more done, but, we're going to have to get moving on the rest.

BIBI 12-10-2014 05:32 PM

I've gotten most of my Christmas loot bought..... :hippy:

Oldfart 12-10-2014 06:46 PM

Now all you need to do is remember where you put it.

dicksbro 12-11-2014 04:39 AM

I've got too much to do and never enough time to do it ... or so it seems. :(

BIBI 01-05-2015 08:52 PM

I've got a nice hot cup of coffee :coffee:
