I've got a promise from our heating and air conditioning man that the new unit should be in today and that they'll be out Thursday morning to get it installed.

AZRedHot 07-27-2015 10:56 PM

A whiny little dog complaining in my ear about nothing.

dicksbro 07-28-2015 12:28 AM

I've got an itch on my back ... that I just scratched. It happened to be one I could reach. :)

FlirtWithMe 07-28-2015 03:20 AM

I've got....

....to try to spend more time here :)

Hahahahahahaha :D...it's summer in Tucson. I know exactly why PF would be complaining. He always complains when he melts.

dicksbro 07-29-2015 10:56 PM

I've got a lawn that needs mowing again.

Lord Snow 07-30-2015 06:16 AM

I've got to head to the gym!

jay-t 07-30-2015 05:51 PM

I've got 2 weeks vacation in the Rocky mountains

dicksbro 08-06-2015 12:49 AM

I've got some good wishes for you, jay-t! Hope you have a terrific time!

Lilith 08-08-2015 02:42 PM

Vertigo

rabbit 08-10-2015 06:44 PM

...to pay them damn bills again.

:curse:

Lord Snow 08-12-2015 09:29 AM

Sore muscles. It sucks when you haven't been to the gym in a week.

dicksbro 08-13-2015 01:30 AM

I've got a lot to do today and a lot of things competing with my plans. So much to do ... so little time. :(

:)

jay-t 08-16-2015 06:34 AM

I have to unpack the 5th wheel

dicksbro 08-16-2015 11:43 PM

I've got a lawn to mow before the rains get here sometime this afternoon. :(

Lord Snow 08-16-2015 11:49 PM

I now have a derringer in my modest collection of weaponry.

dicksbro 08-20-2015 11:27 PM

WTP? Like to see that LS. :)

It's a 22 magnum. I couldn't find any information on the manufacturer. I know it's a Reck made in West Germany, but that's about it. It can't be that old since the grips are plastic, and everything seems to be in pretty good condition.

Oldfart 08-21-2015 05:56 PM

The grips look to be made of Casein, a plastic made from milk proteins. These have been around for a long time, so your pistol may be older than you think.

You may find it interesting to compare .22WMR with Winchester Z. The Z is a pistol round which may give you a similar penetration (phone books give a measurable penetration) without the staggering muzzle blast.

Lord Snow 08-21-2015 08:14 PM

Well since it's a breach load I can always put 22 LR through it instead. It is disappointing that internet searches don't bring up anything on the maker. It would be nice to know about how old it is and what not.

dicksbro 08-24-2015 03:48 AM

Nice addition to your collection in any case.

2 biopsy reports in one week

AZRedHot 09-16-2015 09:50 PM

To decide if I am flying out to Wisconsin for my friend, who's taken a turn for the worst on her "farewell to family and friends back home" trip, and will be going into hospice there. It doesn't sound like her wife thinks they'll both make it back to Tucson. I hate this so much.

Lilith 09-17-2015 08:15 AM

((Hugs)) for AZ so sorry. If you can go, do.

Oldfart 09-18-2015 02:21 AM

Go.

You can live with it being perhaps premature, but you can't get the time back if it's not.

dicksbro 09-18-2015 06:18 AM

AZ, if you can ... go. You'll be in our prayers. We spent several hours with a dear friend of ours for over 50-years who is in hospice care in Peoria. Her husband and I started work at where we retired from on the same day and became good friends soon after. It's definitely good for you and for the person you're visiting. :wish:

oh, now that sucks raw moose cock.

Oldfart 09-18-2015 08:02 AM

PMP.

Hands up anyone with the nick "raw moose".

dicksbro 09-18-2015 11:59 PM

I've got to clean out my gutters today. Noticed in yesterday's heavy rains that they were filling up and running over the sides. :(

Oldfart 09-19-2015 03:34 AM

Gutters in Darwin are perforated so that once the water gets to a certain depth in the gutter, it flows away from the house.

dicksbro 09-20-2015 03:37 AM

Sounds like somebody had a great idea.

After discussion with her wife, who was not sure I'd make it in time, I did not go. The earliest I could've gotten to her was 9 p.m. yesterday. I would've been 9 hours too late. :(

PantyFanatic 09-20-2015 07:41 PM

So sad for you. :console:

AZRedHot 09-21-2015 02:18 PM

Thanks, PF. I'm pretty sad for me, too, and for all of us who love her.

dicksbro 09-24-2015 12:39 AM

May she truly rest in peace. We're very sorry for your loss, AZ. It's hard to lose someone we care deeply about.

You gave it consideration and took advice. You did all you could. It was perhaps a favour. I have been with death, and it is harder to remember happy times over dying times.

Oldfart 10-01-2015 05:28 PM

. . . an empty cup of coffee and tablets still to take. :(

dicksbro 10-02-2015 12:34 AM

A lot to do today outside. At least the weather is suppose to be pretty nice. Cool in the morning with the high only around 70. Good for outdoor work. :)

Oldfart 10-02-2015 04:54 AM

We peaked at 36.7C today, 98 degrees F.

Not a lot got done today.
