I am cooking a turkey tonight for Wilderness's family. This is my first turkey ever!

Chicken Alfredo with home made Alfredo. The other women in the break room were so jealous! Especially the one eating a microwave spaghetti dinner..... Lol

I like roasted turkey dinners! They are one of the very few occassions during the year when I can say "Talk about a huge breast!" - in public, and get away with it. :)

Well I'm glad to say my first turkey went quite well!

A couple of months ago I entered a dutch oven cook-off and my wife asked me to make that meal for dinner tonite
curried pork chops, roasted corn on the cob, baked potatoes, and a cherry crumb cobbler

and I placed 2nd out of 20

Mrs OF would love that. I'm not big on pork, but the rest sounds great.

ShadowDancer 10-18-2011 09:51 PM

we had shake-n-bake chicken (parmesan garlic flavor), stovetop stuffing, & corn

We will be trying out a new local Mexican restaurant later this evening.

Oldfart 11-01-2011 07:32 PM

I've not had a decent burrito for ages.

Mexican restaurants are scarce, but not unknown, in this neck of the palmtrees.

We shared a guacamole dip as an appetizer. Dearsweet had a Fajitas plate, and I had three soft tacos (so I didn’t make a mess) with rice and refried beans.

Fresh, tasty, tangy and hot! Only $32!

Mi Viejo Pueblito. Recommended.

Mrs OF is a guacamole fan. I'm no friend of the avocado.
