Yep, sunny California would definitely be a nice change of pace today. I can barely see the house across the street through the fog. It's already about 50F for the temp but I'm still thinking that sunny and 75 would be much better than what I'll have here today. :nod:

Cloudy and 63F here right now. Awfully windy though. We've got a tornado watch out for my part of the state until 9pm. Can't say that the skies to the west look all that pleasant right now. Hopefully it's just rain. Gotta love spring in the midwest.


They just broke into TV programming to let us know that there is a tornado warning for a couple of counties SW of where I'm at, about an hour away. Looks like they've spotted a couple of those damn things flying around. And, of course, they are moving to the NE which is right towards me. :(

Just checked the radar and we will be getting what IowaMan had^^^^^ and it looks like he'll be getting some more either overnight or tomarrow.

WOOHOO!!! Made it through the first springtime storm event without a scratch. :nana:

We ended up with lots of rain and a very little bit of pea-sized hail but no tornado.

Being fascinated by tornadoes, (loved it when I lived in Kansas for a couple of years) and being the idiot that I am, I went outside to look at the sky at one point when the rain had completely stopped. It was really calm and the lowest clouds were swirling. Pretty cool to see. Of course had a tornado decided to shoot down and pick me up IowaMan may have been sitting in Booger and Soda's driveway this morning hoping they'd bring him breakfast. :D

35 degrees and cloudy. Sustained winds of 25-30 mph, with gusts to 45 or 50 make it feel much colder. The "wind chill" says it's 21, but it doesn't feel THAT warm when you are outside in the wind, trust me.

Where DID those 65+ degree temperatures go anyway???

Yesterday was a record breaking 80F (24C) and today I have 1-1/2" of snow on the lawn now with more coming. The 40 mph wind gusts didn't seem to have promise spring tomorrow and they tell me it MIGHT get above freezing.

Tuesday high 78f, yesterday 33f, will be lucky to hit freezing today. What the hell happened??? :curse:

It has been so warm here that my dog already brought in ticks! Now there's 6 inches of snow and it only 17 degrees.

Snow and blowing snow advisory till after 10pm today. Temp is 28 now with a wind chill of 12. Wind is blowing at 26 mph and gusting to 35, with an inch of snow on the ground.

Another lovely day today - but as already noted, I was at work, so I didn't much appreciate the warmth builiding up in the home making me want to pass out. Inside you couldn't even feel the slight, but cold, breeze...
