Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve?

Used to be we opened some on Christmas eve at my wife's folks house, and my folks house on Christmas day. Now, it's usually Christmas morning.

We will be going to my daughters on Thanksgiving and since the roads are sometimes "iffy" in December, we'll give them their gifts there. That'll be for our daughter's in Indianapolis and Cincinnati, respectively.

What is the least interesting thing you can think of to do with your time?

File. I hate it with a passion--which is bad when it is part of your job description. Two summers ago I went with a group to do mission work in Chicago for the first time. The first day they sent my four-person work group to a homeless shelter for women and children...and we spent the entire day filing. I kept thinking, "I gave up a vacation day for this." :rolleyes:

1/18th scale cars for one thing and coins (although I'm not a real serious collector)

From all I know about the state of whale populations it sounds only lolgical to ban taking them. They've got enough stress in their lives with people making it worse.

Do you like to get up early or stay of late?

Yes, as I was diagnosed about a year ago with Type II diabetes after having the insulin-dependent during my last two pregnancies.

Are you a person who depends on others?

Phone. I am shy (yes, really) and anything I can do to avoid face-to-face meetings helps.

Do you like your parents?

I've only done diaries for school when I've HAD to. I like to write but don't have time on a daily basis.

What kind of treats do you make and/or enjoy on Christmas or another big holiday you celebrate?

Homemade chocolate turtles. My wife makes them and I love them (too much :D).

What do you want most for Christmas?

I will be working Late shift (1pm ill 9:30pm) in the acute adsmissions unit~~~~~~so I want a peaceful, quiet shift where we can spend time with the patients who have no~one but us~~~~~~and without any major incidents!

I went to my family's in Kentucky last weekend, and I will be eating dinner tomorrow at the parents of a friend before having company at my house.

I really dread winter coming all cold and icy.

I have a real problem with Stevie Nicks, although I do like some Fleetwood Mac songs and even a song or two of hers. I can't explain it--but something about her sets my teeth on edge. I'm not sure Rod Stewart can sing, either, although there are a couple of *his* songs that I enjoy. Go figure.

Do you sleep on your side, your stomach, or your back?

Side mostly. When I'm really tired I'll fall asleep on my back but wake up on my side.:confused: NEVER on my stomach.:mad:



How many times, or do you wake up or stir during the night that you can remember?

I have a sleep disorder...I usually remember about 4-5 times, although they've documented that I have 30 "arousals" (no kidding, medical terminology) every hour. It just means that my sleep is disrupted, whether I "wake up" or not.

What do you do in your quiet time?

curl up on the couch with a cup of hot sweet tea and watch telly!!!!!!

what makes you smile?

the man who has totally captured my heart, my children, my friends, my sister...among others.


What could you do without?

my bills of course :D

My recliner.

It's a fair sized garden for the city.

Oh gosh, I would have to say reading...I do it any spare moment I can (when I am not on the computer)
