3F this morning with wind chills of -15. Brrrrrrrrr. Glad we went to church last night.

sodaklostsoul 02-10-2008 10:42 AM

Was 3 when I got up and now is down to 2. Was hoping to get to 5 to see if my car starts. Windchill is -20. Sometimes its very clear out and then ya look again and you can barely see the house kiddie corner from us.

IowaMan 02-10-2008 10:45 AM

-6F here right now and the wind is howling yet again. The windchill earlier was -32F so I'm guessing it's right around that ballpark now as well. Supposed to get another couple of inches of snow later on. :(

Cheyanne 02-10-2008 01:02 PM

-4 here with a wind chill of -25 degrees... Winds gusting up to 20 mph... I checked my weather bug and it is showing we are in a Winter Storm Warning!!!! :truce: :truce: :truce: :truce: :truce:

Our furnace decided it didn't want to work last night and we had to call a repairman (think weekend rates  )... We are toasty warm today. Next week looks better with 20 degree temps.... a heat wave!

sodaklostsoul 02-10-2008 01:12 PM

Sorry to hear you had to fix the heat Chey.

The temp. can't decide if it wants to be 1 or 2 above. Windchill came up to -19 from -20. :)

It wouldn't be so bad if I lived in the town I work in.

rabbit 02-10-2008 04:14 PM

Partly cloudy and windy...14°F, but feels like -4°F.

Rhiannon 02-10-2008 04:30 PM

wind gusts of up to 50 tonight and snow later. brrr..

Neige 02-11-2008 10:21 AM

This morning here it's -15 C (5 F), with a windchill of -28 C (-18 F)... I don't think I'm going to walk to school today. I have enough to read here at home!

PantyFanatic 02-11-2008 11:14 AM

same ^^^ here

COLD

Neige 02-11-2008 12:49 PM

I decided I was being a wuss if I didn't come to the lab. Let me tell you that it is indeed very cold.

How about that, it's the same here right now as Neige had this morning. The sad thing is that those temps are actually warmer than it has been the last few days. :(

I decided I'd be stupid if I went into the plant today. Let me tell you that it is indeed very warm in here. :D

Neige 02-11-2008 02:23 PM

It's warm at the lab too! :p

...It's just the in-between that's toe-numbing...

PantyFanatic 02-11-2008 02:45 PM

If I walk real fast to the coffee pot, :teleport: the wind chill is 71F (22C). :D

dicksbro 02-11-2008 03:30 PM

12 degrees with a wind chill of -2. No snow yet, though. Looks like most of it is passing north of us. It is expected to start anytime but they've lowered the expectations to around an inch. Heck, thats not worth the cost of a car wash to get rid of the salt.

Goofy 02-12-2008 05:00 AM

Cold and dark.

dicksbro 02-12-2008 06:23 AM

Welcome to Pixies, Goofy. Say hi to Mickey when you see him.

15F right now expected to reach 21F later. Tonight, it'll drop again to 10.

We're suppose to get some light snow, but I haven't seen any yet.

sodaklostsoul 02-12-2008 08:15 AM

We got 11 with a wind chill of -3, suppose to be light snow and a high of 20. WOOHOO heat wave.

wyndhy 02-12-2008 11:06 AM

diamond-nipple cold and rainy-snowy-sleety.

not a day to hang out laundry to dry. :D

That's the best description of this crappy winter weather I've heard yet!

Snowing here again today, I think it's about done for this round though. A little warmer than it has been recently though, I think it's about 14F right now. :cheerlead

scotzoidman 02-13-2008 12:14 AM

Our first real brush with real winter weather at the moment...rained all day, then the temp dropped about 20F or so...currently 29F with rain/snow mix falling...the ground's still to warm for any snow to stick, but I can almost guarantee that the morning will bring us black ice on the streets, & Nashvillians will give in to their natural inclination to drive into the ditches en masse...

dicksbro 02-15-2008 04:28 AM

It's 25F right now and they're saying the high today will be 22F ...

Does not bode well, I'm afraid.

Neige 02-17-2008 06:23 PM

What's that?!?! There's something falling from the sky and it's not snow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn rain - the city's soooooo gonna flood.

Oldfart 02-18-2008 05:01 PM

We're copping buckets of buckets.

Strange, smack in the middle of the wet season.

dicksbro 02-19-2008 05:39 AM

6F (feels like -8) under mostly cloudy skies. Snow showers expected later today and tonight (low probability) and the high is only expected to reach 24F with winds up to 20 mph. Going to be a chilly one, I'm afraid.

sodaklostsoul 02-19-2008 02:31 PM

Its 12, with lots and lots of snow.

IowaMan 02-20-2008 07:29 AM

It's a toasty morning here today. Right now it's -8F (-22C) with a windchill factor of -30F (-34C). I'm thinking of setting up a lemonade stand on the corner later on this afternoon.

At least it's not snowing right now. :)

sodaklostsoul 02-25-2008 11:16 PM

No clue what the temp is, haven't reloaded Weather Bug yet but it looks like the mist has turned to snow.

Scarecrow 02-26-2008 12:43 AM

snow starting after midnight, suppose to get 4" to 6" with 30 to 40 mph winds. Sounds like fun. Normal snow fall in Feb. for this area is 4-5", so far this year 14-16".

sodaklostsoul 02-27-2008 10:34 AM

17 with snow showers but haven't seen any yet.

rabbit 02-27-2008 09:29 PM

Lessee....the thermometer on my desk says 8°F and it is snowing at a moderate clip.

scotzoidman 02-28-2008 01:39 AM

I know it's going to seem odd to all those to the north of me, but...

Today we got our first snowfall of any significance for the season. Had a fair dusting beginning Tuesday night (starting right after rush hour, thank goodness), coupled with dropping temps to ice up the streets just in time to fuckup the morning commute. Anchor girl on the morning news show was stranded for 5 hrs, literally reporting in on her cell phone as she made her way in from just across the KY-TN state line. Skies & streets cleared up by 9am, so when dispatch called all drivers in to work, I didn't think twice...then I was hit repeatedly with patches of the heaviest, most blinding snow I've ever seen in our temperate/subtropical borderline part of the world as I made my way about the city. Visibility was down to about two hundred yards at one point whilst I was carrying a rush medical specimin from one side of town to the other. Weird weather this year, indeed...

9F right now with a high of 32 expected later. Snow showers predicted for this afternoon and evening with maybe an inch or so of accumulation.

Attached are a couple of pictures from Tuesday.

It's still stinking hot here.

I found this in our garden this afternoon.

But not before the ants found it, apparently ;)

(I know, they just aid in pollenation)

dicksbro 02-29-2008 05:31 AM

33F with light rain. Looks like we had another snow dusting last night. Suppose to reach 41F, and so the snow won't last long.

IowaMan 03-01-2008 12:53 PM

It's 24F (-4C) here right now and sort of cloudy. The sun is supposed to come out later and supposedly we'll reach 40F (4C) and hopefully melt a little bit of the snow we've got lying around. :wish:

scotzoidman 03-01-2008 11:25 PM

Today was warm, dry, & sunny all day...first day like that we've seen in quite a while.

sodaklostsoul 03-02-2008 12:02 AM

We got to 29 today, felt warmer. Tomarrow says 42 and a 30% chance of freezing rain.

Oldfart 03-02-2008 04:09 AM

Am I hearing the same people complaing about the cold who'll be complaining about the heat in July?
