Wait till the impact of the iranian threat to close the Straits of Homuz hits.

Lord Snow 12-30-2011 02:29 PM

We jumped from around the 2.95 mark up to 3.13 in a day. Kind of sucks that it doesn't seem to want to stabilize.

dicksbro 02-01-2012 02:44 AM

It's been $3.359 for the past couple of weeks. No daily changes.

Even though I wish the price were lower, it's been nice not seeing the price jump up and down all the time.

jseal 02-01-2012 06:13 AM

$3.46/gal yesterday

PantyFanatic 02-01-2012 11:19 AM

It's controlled bleeding, and bleed you they will. Last week it hung around $3.45/ga. during the week. Come the weekend, it blipped to $3.54/ga. The last 2 days of the month it suddenly fell back to $3.37/ga. as of last night. I won't be shocked to see a jump today when many checks are paid.

Oldfart 02-01-2012 05:08 PM

The most wrongly named thing ever would have to be the "free market".

dicksbro 02-03-2012 08:34 AM

Our local prices jumped from $3.35 yesterday to $3.49 today!

jseal 02-03-2012 12:20 PM

There's an interesting article about the cost of the CAFE standards that will increase the fuel efficiency of our future automobiles.

dicksbro 02-06-2012 03:22 AM

The ol' "Figures don't lie ... liars figure" is as true today as ever.

dicksbro 02-19-2012 06:10 AM

After a week or more at $3.49 locally, it finally dropped to $3.39/gal yesterday. Still too high, but better.

dicksbro 02-20-2012 04:02 AM

Went to Decatur yesterday. Gas there was at $3.29. :(

jseal 02-20-2012 06:04 AM

$3.56!

VaBeast 02-20-2012 12:00 PM

$3.49 this morning

Lord Snow 02-20-2012 06:39 PM

3.53 in the Murfreesboro, TN area.

Aqua 02-20-2012 06:50 PM

This morning I paid $3.77 for regular. (Would have been $3.67 if I had paid with cash.)

jay-t 02-20-2012 07:39 PM

Its running $3.22-$3.29 here

Oldfart 02-20-2012 07:52 PM

Mutter, mutter, wait till you hit Oz, or even worse Brit, prices.

dicksbro 02-21-2012 03:27 AM

Still $3.39 locally, but, a lot of people were topping off their tanks yesterday expecting a jump. :boink:

sodaklostsoul 09-10-2012 01:19 PM

$3.69 for cheap stuff and $4.03 for good stuff. :(

Scarecrow 09-10-2012 08:40 PM

$3.58 for the ceap stuff here. Seems to be the lowest prices in the state.

dicksbro 09-11-2012 12:53 AM

:( $3.87 was the cheapest in our fair town. Nearby towns were supposedly in the $3.75 range. Not many walks in the park this year.

PantyFanatic 09-12-2012 01:27 AM

"$2.2?/gal, $2.3?, $2.5?" :yikes: Almost worth the drive to fill up in your state.

It was $3.37/gal the week before Labor Day. Went to the expected $3.95 for the driving weekend. Gradually fell to $3.74 this week but suddenly jumped to $3.99 today. ................................ Because they CAN! :hair:

dicksbro 09-12-2012 04:39 AM

It was still $3.87 locally, but down into the $3.70's in nearby towns. :(

jseal 09-12-2012 05:22 AM

$3.76/gal here yesterday.

kleclere 09-12-2012 05:02 PM

Ours jumped up another 10 cents from last week to $3.79

dicksbro 09-13-2012 04:46 AM

Locally dropped to $3.82 at a couple of stations yesterday, but, it won't surprise me if they go back up for the weekend. :(

dicksbro 09-18-2012 11:03 AM

$3.77 today. I expect to see tomorrow take a jump by afternoon. Wednesday seems to be the "Hike it up for the Weekend" Day. :(

I think it's a shame it's not 1/2 that. Could and should be if our government would let us drill within the US and completed the pipeline from Canada. :(

Yeah DDB.... Obama sends $2 Billion to Brazil for their offshore drilling but prevents US offshore drilling... go figure! Is he trying to financially break us?

It's between 3.99 - 4.04 here........... :(

Lord Snow 09-18-2012 01:37 PM

I am by no means a supporter, but it's not just his administration that has screwed this country up.

AZRedHot 09-18-2012 06:01 PM

$3.64 here; it went up for Labor Day and hasn't come back down yet.

Lilith 09-18-2012 06:29 PM

Oldfart 09-18-2012 06:49 PM

Jeezy creezy. I think there'd be full-on revolt here if ours was that high.

Oldfart 09-19-2012 02:52 AM

That's the final price, without additional state, county, city block and justmadeitup taxes.

Lord Snow 09-19-2012 09:16 AM

My pay is 11.00 per hour. I wouldn't be able to go to work if the gas prices were 6 per gallon here.

Is it like here ... without the taxes, it's really only 29 cents. :yikes:

JK

Oldfart 09-20-2012 07:23 AM

Taxes make up over half the price.

PantyFanatic 09-21-2012 12:55 AM

$US3.67/g tonight

http://www.gaspricewatch.com/web_gas_taxes.php

Coaster 09-30-2012 06:02 AM

Paid $4.04 yesterday

dicksbro 10-01-2012 02:48 AM

It was $3.67 here yesterday although surrounding towns had jumped up ... some at $3.72 and a few at $3.89. Can't believe we're local the "low-price leader" for the first time in a long time. :)
