… and there is to be an additional cost component soon.

Just as the ultra-low-sulfur diesel regulations that were phased in 2006-2010 contributed to the change in the cost of diesel from less than that of gas to higher, the cost of the gas you’ll need to operate your car will likely be going up yet again.

dicksbro 03-30-2013 04:45 AM

^^^^ With any luck we may be back to bikes and horse drawn wagons one of these days.

Anyway, as of last night we were down to $3.47/gal. :)

Lord Snow 03-30-2013 07:37 AM

I've been on a bike for a few years now. Oh wait.....you meant bicycle not motorcycle didn't you?

Gas was 3.27 after my Kroger card yesterday.

Fangtasia 03-30-2013 06:28 PM

AU$1.45/litre (unleaded)

dicksbro 03-31-2013 03:49 AM

$3.41 yesterday afternoon! :)

Oldfart 04-01-2013 06:59 AM

**snicker chortle** $1.65.9 in Darwin.

dicksbro 04-02-2013 04:44 AM

Back up to $3.65 yesterday. Electronic sign changed going from $3.41 to $3.65 as I drove by. :(

dicksbro 04-05-2013 03:59 AM

$3.59 yesterday afternoon. It's on it's way back down a bit.

I wish they'd only change say once a week. I'm tired of this silly daily game. :(

Anglosaxon 04-05-2013 07:02 AM

Just realised you are talking about price per US Gallon, not per litre

Just converted current UK price:

US$7.95 per US gallon

More than 60% of that is duty tax
Moving to USA and buying a hotrod.

sodaklostsoul 04-06-2013 07:02 PM

Um, I worked today and can't even remember what was on our sign. Maybe $3.39. or $3.43.

How much have prices dropped in your area ?
$1.89,
diesel $2.79 here

Oldfart 12-19-2014 07:50 PM

We've dropped about a buck a gallon, but the profiteers are still profiteering.

BIBI 12-19-2014 11:36 PM

95 cents a litre....you do the math cause I can't lol

Lord Snow 12-20-2014 12:43 AM

We're around the $2.20 mark in my area of TN. Some places are lower, and others a little higher.

dicksbro 12-20-2014 03:54 AM

Lowest I've seen around here is $2.34 to $2.35 ... that's in some neighboring towns. In our town, it's at $2.49 ... falling but not as fast as other towns. :(

jseal 12-21-2014 08:38 PM

$2.59 to $2.75 here.

dicksbro 12-22-2014 03:36 AM

Stations dropped their prices to $2.19 yesterday.

dicksbro 12-23-2014 02:11 AM

$2.14 yesterday at the gas station near where we went to the movie. :)

scotzoidman 12-24-2014 07:42 PM

Actually got to $1.84/gal with loyalty discount.

jseal 12-25-2014 07:01 AM

By leaving many more dollars in the gas buyers' collective pockets, this price reduction could give a significant boost to the economy. Let's hope it plays out that way. :)

Lord Snow 12-26-2014 06:13 AM

It will give a significant boost, the question is will it be wise spending or not? Such as buying a vehicle that gets better gas mileage and in better condition than your current one, but still keeping it well within you financial means as opposed to buying a $50,000.00 Escalade on $20,000 a year salary.

Oldfart 12-26-2014 06:46 AM

The international oil price has halved (almost) and the fuel prices should have dropped also. It's not a linear correlation because of taxes and production/distribution variables, but if it means that people have real money in their pockets, it's good.

Oldfart 12-26-2014 06:47 AM

BTW, hi Scotz.

jseal 12-26-2014 08:51 PM

Down to $2.39 here.

dicksbro 12-27-2014 01:04 AM

$2.08 yesterday was the lowest I saw around here.

jay-t 12-27-2014 03:50 PM

$1.68 here

Coaster 12-27-2014 03:56 PM

it's 2.35 here

dicksbro 12-30-2014 01:36 AM

Paid $2.01 yesterday. Hope to go under the $2 mark maybe even today.

Oldfart 12-30-2014 04:12 PM

Yer livin' in a fuel's paradise, folks.

dicksbro 12-31-2014 01:21 AM

$1.95 yesterday locally. Some nearby towns were down in the mid-$1.80's.

Cyberdude26 01-04-2015 02:49 AM

Just filled today at $1.93. Felt like stealing paying $28 to fill up the gas tank from empty.

jseal 01-04-2015 09:01 AM

Down to $2.31 here.

dicksbro 01-05-2015 12:00 AM

$1.83 before we went into Peoria yesterday around noon. Still expecting some additional drops before these wonderful prices stabilize. :wish:

BIBI 01-05-2015 08:49 PM

I've got gas.....and it was free lol

PantyFanatic 01-06-2015 02:29 AM

Just checked and the Cleveland area price is 1.934/g (USD) [0.51/l] with 1.876/g as Ohio average. This past year has been a big change in many ways. For most of the last decade all area prices were so close it didn't matter where you bought petro. All stations within any view were identical on all four corners and not more than a nickel difference anywhere in the area. When the price changed with any jump, everyone in the region was the same within 4 hours. This last year you could find up to a $0.30/g difference around town. Now that it has come back to something reasonable they are talking about increasing the tax rate on gas. You know they are up to something and we'll take it in the ass again someway. Just enjoy it while it lasts.

One good line and you fluffed it.

dicksbro 01-08-2015 10:34 AM

My wife just got home and told me that in our little downtown, the two stations there were down to $1.69/g. Not sure about the other stations in town, but that sounds good to me. I may go top off my car's gas tank before long just to be sure I don't miss out on the price. :D
