What was your favourite thing to do on Saturday mornings when you were a kid?

Watch Schoolhouse Rock commercials in between the cartoons, of course. (Steph, my sister bought me the anniversary DVD for Christmas last year...the kids were watching it this morning. I've now got "Figure 8" swimming through my brain!)

The Incredible Hulk - because I love men that turn green.

What is the most signifigant thing that someone has said to you and why did it mean so much?

I'm not sure if it was ever blatantly verbalized, but I was brought up in an environment in which my parents thought of me as the "smart one," and my sister the "pretty one." Academically, I'm sure it helped my self-esteem tremendously, but as an adult has led to some self-doubting as far as attractiveness, and it has led my sister to question her intellectual ability.

When did you realize you were an adult?

When my father said "Son, I'm really proud of how you've turned out."

How old were you when you were first called "Sir" or "M'am"?

Probably in my early 20s, and it freaked me out. It still does. I'm not old enough to be called "Ma'am," you know.

What is the best (or worst) practical joke you've pulled on someone?

The "Plastic Ball Crusher Distributor". I'll email it to you, cause it's a long story! We discussed it in chat. ha ha

Do you enjoy a good practical joke?

Sometimes. I haven't really been involved in many, though. Probably because people considered me adult-like even as a child. :)

What's the worst thing you ever did to a sibling?

I boinked her best friend during a sleepover.

What event got you in to the most trouble as a child?

My stubborness. Being a Capricorn and a first-born, I bet you can't picture that. I'd even get to the point of being on the floor, kicking or screaming, that I wasn't going to do something. Most of the time it was put my shoes and/or socks on. :D

Talk about one time when you were totally embarassed.

First ballroom dance lesson, when the instructor said "Ok, let's see what you got...pretend you have a partner and dance for me". I felt horrible. Nice approach to instructing someone with absolutely no self-esteem, huh?

What was your favorite scent as a child?

Honeysuckle. No doubt about it. We had neighbors who had a ton, and when my sister and I would play with their children, that's usually where we were found.

Have you ever broken any bones?

Plenty of sprains but never a broken bone. I've been very lucky.

Have you ever been in an accident with your car?

Of course. 4 days after my 16th birthday, my parents had bought me a new car, and I wrecked it!! I have never lived that one down.

What is your favorite thing to do when you get off work?

Well, I usually play the games at Pixies and talk to a few of my favorite Pixies members. I also spend time with my children. Lately my six-year old has been reading to me.

What are you most afraid of?

Yes, I have a few. But I'll keep them private for now.

Yes, but just the more tame ones. The really crazy ones will probably remain fantasies.

No, never was athletically inclined. I confine my sports activities to watching.

I am the oldest of three. My sister is about 22 months younger than me, and we are very close. My brother is almost 12 years younger than me. We grew up in totally different households.

Yes, my b/f knows and I've told some friends about it but haven't given anyone but my b/f the address :)

Name something you've learned from Pixies.

That no matter how different people are, there are many things they have in common with others, and that all values, beliefs, and opinions are worthy of careful consideration.

I did believe in the boogey man - I was a firm believer until about age 13. LOL!

Any pets? Names, descriptions, stories?

We have a dog named Hunter, a mostly Brittany Spaniel, who we adopted from an animal rescue organization. Unfortunately, Hunter is now an outside dog, having discovered after we got him early last year that all four of us are highly allergic to dogs. :rolleyes:

I did have two cats. One I named Christine after Christine in Phantom of the Opera, one of my most favorite things in the whole world. She died of kidney disease about two years ago. Her counterpart, Tigger, ran off, never to be seen again.

pixies - toothbrush - bed

(sometimes - I even get sex! :)

what is your morning routine?

Roll out of bed, check an email account quickly (there's never anything there) before heading to Pixies. From there it varies, according to what's here. :)

Do you buy books or check them out at the library?

Depends, if I am after a bestseller, I'll buy the paperback at Costco but if I am researching, I use the library.

What is your best bit of flirtation?

My wit, I think, although I've never been that confident of my ability as a flirt.

What was your favorite class in school?

Actually I truly enjoyed Calculus and DiffEq. Next was materials courses. And by the way, never fear, your abilities in flirtation are quite well developed.

Whew! What a relief! :D

And my sexual preferences are simple, really...I'm *big* into kissing. On the lips, my neck my ear, other body parts...they all work.

What is the one household chore you could do without?

How about the frigging dishes! Thats where I help out in the evening. I clean the kitchen from top to bottom and I hate it, ugh!

What would you like to do that you normally don't or have never done?

I'd love to take voice lessons again. I took them for about 5-6 months about eight years ago, and I think I would appreciate them even more now.

What is the one thing you wish you had more time to spend upon?

Sex, pure and simple. I feel like I'm wasting my vitality, anybody want some?

What do think is missing from your life?

I'm not sure exactly--can't put my finger on it. I could come up with some standardized answers, like a winning lottery ticket or something, but the thing I need to complete me is elusive. I'm hoping to find it someday.

Have you ever done something you totally regretted, and what was it?

Marriage to my first wife. What a mistake. Great sex but total insanity.

Have you ever done something you really feel guilty about? What is it?

Everytime I hurt someone's feelings, intentionally out of anger or unintentionally, which is more common. That is almost the worst thing in the world for me.
