How Long Before Sex

Hey I've been lurking here at the boards for quite some time now so I guess I might as well start a thread and introduce myself.

So umm...yeah I'm a young hispanic male from Texas...so hi!.

Anyways for my question....

If your in a serious relationship, how long is it before you have sex with your partner for the first time?

I guess if this has been done before recently you can maybe send me a link to the thread.

Anyways thanks to those that reply.

I guess it all depends on how soon you both WANT to sleep together; I don't think there's really any hard-and-fast rules about it, you just have to talk together about what you want or don't want to do and, when you're both ready, that's the time!

For some people it can be as soon as the first night; others may wait weeks or months til they feel it's right... communication is the key m'man!! :D Hope that's of some help.

Welcome to (the posting side of) Pixies... as you'll have seen, it DOES get quite addictive!!

Hmmm the rules according to STO....

You shouldnt have sex on the first date, but the second is ok...

...so if you really want to sleep with them, take them out to lunch first, have a nice afternoon at a park, then when you take them out to dinner it is technically the 2nd date and you can fuck away. :D :D

I agree with dm383. Talk about it and when it's right for both of
you then enjoy it.

If one or the other of you is at all hesitant, it'll ruin it for both of you. Wait until your both ready, then you can really enjoy each
other !!!!!!!

You sound like a very sensitive guy, I think you girl is a lucky lady !!!!!

My husband and I had sex on our first date but we weren't living that close to each other at the time. We had also been talking for awhile online....yep we met online :)

Basically, if it feels right...do it!!!

I don't think there are any rules that apply to all. Personally, I see no reason to waste time, start having sex as soon as you are both ready. You only go round once, better that you enjoy your time.

I totally agree. If you're both willing...go for it!!! You only live once...so make the best of it.

And there's not much better than sex:D

i am kinda in the same situation. ive been with my nonvirgin bf for 5 months (im a virgin) and we havent slept together.

i think the answer is when you both want to and feel ready... and that isnt as easy as im saying, i know... its hard to tell when youre ready.. and i personally dont know if i am..
but it depends on your beliefs and your ideas and stuff like that..

my advice is to talk to her about it and talk about what you want and desire and fear and have her tell you too...

remember, waiting is never a bad thing if you're not sure... there are a lot of relationships that aren't all about sex

humm... I think of it like a batter working a pitcher in baseball when you get the right pitch swing at it.
If you take 3 swings and miss cleanly on all three you're out.
How long in real terms?
Let mutual desire and the situation dictate but don't start out swinging at bad pitches, and for goodness sakes don't keep the bat on your shoulders and get caught looking at something you at which you should have swung.
capitio?
In short express your desire clearly, either physicaly or verbaly. As different people respond differently in word and deed and there is often a disconnect.
Be strong but not agressive. Use your head.

bottom line is this is not a unilatteral decision.
Don't force anything try your best to make her want to be with you. But be true to yourself in the process.
Don't project an image of someone who you are not.
