I know we have discussed this before but with new members it is cool to get a fresh perspective...... plus someone asked me to post this :D:p

Yes I have...infact my first girlfriend I met online. It was fun, I went to see her for a week during Thanksgiving. I think it was successful, but distance is a killer..In the end we still talk as friends online.

met several. lived with a couple. moved for one, had one move in. it's the greater of two evils. the alternative is far less stressful.

I actually tried alot of times now. It is quite successful I must say. We went out to have dinner after the show and everything turn out well... :)

Yes - just once with a lady I met on Compuserve (wash your mouth out Bucksman) who lived in Seattle and we met when I was there on business visiting a certain Window maker down the road (washes mouth again).
We had a great time (in and out of my hotel) but as Radies says, distance is a killer and we both treated it as one time affair.
However, I have also chatted to someone who had a realy bad experience with aguy who practically raped her, so it is not all roses!!!

Once I tried to meet somebody in Hamburg, that´s around 800km away from here. The result was that this somebody did everything not to meet me in person, although the meeting was fixed by a telephone agreement. No response on the phonecalls or hanging up after recognizing me...not a good style.
I spent two spare days in a nice town with really f*cking cold weather without having seen the other one finally...:redghost:

Yep...once. It was on a business/pleasure trip. Turned out more pleasure than business =p

I have, some were great... most were duds! I guess it just depends. Be careful out there people!

...yes, I have met someone I've chatted with online, and we've been seeing eachother long distance now for three years...we're also going to get married as soon as INS gets through with me...so I guess you could say it was pretty successful...
