Lixy, Mcdonalds had been warned in the past that their coffee was too hot. Even if the temp had been down to 150, which is still damn hot, it would not have burned her skin off. Burned yes, but not to the point of requiring surgery.
Think about this... if you've ever been in a hot tub the temp is generally between 99-102. At 104 most newer hot tubs automatically shut off. Can you imagine if it was 80 degrees hotter?!
Really, should anyone have to worry that spilling their drink will put them in the hospital for over a week?
