Looks to me, Lilith, like it was an IM conversation! Pardon the stereotype here...but I've had conversations with folks from East India (where it seems by his nick, he is from) and most of the guys act in this manner. Please note I said MOST and not all, because I've met some really nice men from East India as well. It's usually the ones with an Indian <language?> to English dictionary sitting on their lap that speak in this manner. Something is definitely lost in translation! I think by adding the "dear" at the end of their sentence's they think they ARE being respectful. That you say anything at all to them seems to be a show of interest on your part. Just put, and keep, them on ignore. It's all you can do!
