Woodman's, Cub Foods, Copps, Sentry, Piggy Wiggly, Whole Foods, and Pick 'N Save are the main ones in the Madison area. I do the majority of my shopping at Woodman's, which is a Wisconsin-Illinois chain. Low prices and lots of selection, all 24/7, unlike some of the others I mentioned. Luckily we have avoided the Super Walmarts and Targets, unlike many smaller AND larger cities have. You'd think we'd have one for having 200,000+ people. I am glad we don't.

Madison is also famous for having several small member-owned food cooperatives with lots of organic produce, etc. Lots of good feelings supporting these small, locally owned businesses directly in the heart of your neighborhood within Madison. We also have a few Asian, Jamaican, Mexican, and African markets in town.
