I'm from Kentucky. Actually (and my sister STILL teases me about this), for most of my life I didn't like to wear socks. I had this "cotton thing." Pantyhose or knee highs or nylons were fine. Socks were not. My grandmother used to get soooooo upset with me. I told her it's because of all of those times, when I was about 5 or 6, when my shoes would "eat" my socks and it scarred me for life. Short answer is, no, I don't usually wear socks at home, although I'm more likely to now than when I was younger, and the shoes are put beside the door from just about the moment I walk in.
Do you like to speak publicly (speeches, etc.)?
