Due to me making a few monumental stuffups, and doing badly at university, ive been advised to take 12 months leave from uni (Read: Dont come back for a year)

While this is a great opertunity for me to save some money up and get back on my feet financially, its resulted in me being halfway across the continent from the girl i love and adore...

Theres now 1200kms seperating us- 2 days driving each direction, and its like this for the whole of a term- 7 odd weeks straight...

Im up to week 3, having seen her for 2 days before uni started after a 4 week seperation because of the break... and im not doing too well...

I seem to be constantly sad, and always thinking about her, and this is leading me to have accidents while im working around my farm.

I know there are a few people on here with loved ones in the services... how do you guys cope with the distance and time problems?

Well it sounds like while this is a sad time for you romantically, it's a great opportunity to get your head on straight and decide what is and is not worth your effort. Start looking at things from a different perspective and focus on each task one at a time so you can do each one properly. Multi-tasking can truly cause nothing to get done properly.

As for your girl, you just have to be sad and miss her. You are either going to get it together and get back to uni (and her) or this is going to be a growing, life changing, event for you both. And you may not be growing in the same direction.
