db... many hugs.. to all of you... no doubt he left this earth knowing how much he is loved.. that is all that we can pray for.. those who achieve that are truly blessed.

DB...my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am originally from Joliet Ilinois so I am sort of familiar with that area. It is always hard to lose such a wonderful family member. I am sending you a great big cyberhug.

TY very much everyone who posted their best wishes and for those that read and simply offered up their thoughts in the privacy of their hearts. Spent Sunday night in Decatur following the visitation and today attended the funeral and internment.

It was a beautiful service and a fairly large number of family members and friends were present. We enjoyed the visiting with folks we haven't seen in a while and welcomed the support that you find when so many loved ones and friends come together

Now, dad is truly at rest and it's comforting to think that maybe one day, we'll all be together again.
