Sure, to some without question; to others in emergencies only.
Do you prefer to start your holiday shopping before or after Thanksgiving?

First purchase, a new home.
Are you a risk-taker?

There are certain areas of my life where I will gladly take a risk, then others where I hesitate to do so.
What was your favorite subject in school, and why? (and you can't say recess, PE, or lunch either!)

We have a couple of trees in our yard that were planted by our kids; another that was taken from an offshoot to one my wife's folks had in their yard. Gives those three a lot of personal value. Plus, except for the fall raking, I just love 'em.
How's your Christmas shopping doing?

I'm doing ok...I received two presents already. As for purchasing for others? Well, um...err, soon. Hopefully.
When shopping for others, are you practical or extravagant?

It's all up in the air this year. Tyler might be here or at his parent's. We might be able to go to his parent's together . . . not sure yet.
What's your favourite Christmas tradition?

Getting socks and underwear, though the day we all spend decorating the house and listening to Christmas music is nice too.
Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve?

Used to be we opened some on Christmas eve at my wife's folks house, and my folks house on Christmas day. Now, it's usually Christmas morning.
We will be going to my daughters on Thanksgiving and since the roads are sometimes "iffy" in December, we'll give them their gifts there. That'll be for our daughter's in Indianapolis and Cincinnati, respectively.
Are you looking forward to Christmas this year?

somewhat - I love the family aspect of it but hate the corresponding commercialism that leads up to it
does anyone celebrate anything other than christmas?
