No, I don't. In fact, I'm trying to remember visiting a department store Santa. I remember Santa's at the stores; I remember others on his lap; everything but actually sitting on his lap telling him what I wanted. I do remember writing letters to him, though.
Do you remember writing St. Nick a letter or two?

Not any more, although we used to when the kids were small. (We might if the small grandkids were spending Christmas Eve with us, but they're not.)

There are fireplaces but use the wood stove.
